Garments For Good
This is a proactive idea we’ve been sitting on for months and wanted to bring to life in our folio. We’re currently in the process of developing a site and pitching the idea to creatives, donors, and event organisers to see if we can get it off the ground.
Have you ever seen a celebrity wearing the same outfit at two different red carpet events? Chances are, you haven’t.
We’re on a mission, not to change that (because let’s face it, that won’t happen) but to harness this cultural norm to create a solution to a problem many Australians face; a lack of clothing.
Introducing… Garments for Good
We take one-off statement pieces worn at the Aria Awards, The Brownlow, Logies and AACTA and turn them into real statements by auctioning off the show stopping red carpet outfits to the public, with proceeds going towards clothing Australia’s most vulnerable; the homeless, refugees, foster children, domestic abuse victims, and those struck by natural disaster.
Once the movement gains traction, we aim to take it to celebrities directly, asking them to donate any items that are collecting dust in their closet or iconic pieces that they wore on stage, to an event or in a movie etc.
